Core Train the Trainer - Any two CwP modules (2 Days)

This programme is designed to prepare staff members to train colleagues in two of the Connecting with People Direct-to-Participation modules.  It covers both the content of the sessions, facilitation and presentation skills to increase the impact of the training delivery.  Attendees will receive a comprehensive trainer pack with all of the materials required to deliver their own Connecting with People Training in-house.

It is suitable for all staff members who intend to deliver training throughout the institution. Delivery of suicide response modules 2 and 3, are only suitable for experienced staff members who work on a one-to-one basis with students, including specialised student services staff, academic staff and religious services members. Further details of CwP tools can be found at the end of this section.

At the end of the 2 day programme participants will be able to deliver two of the Connecting with People Modules in-house.  Once an individual has become a licensed trainer, they can attend 1 day Train-the-Trainer top-up sessions to enable them to deliver two additional Connecting with People Modules.

This licence to offer the training on an unlimited basis is subject to our simple quality standards.  This standard of quality must be attained before we grant the licence and a small number of people may not meet this standard.  If this is the case, we offer these individuals detailed feedback and the opportunity for a future assessment until the required standard can be met.  We reserve the right to revoke the licence if our quality standards are not being maintained.  All trainers must attend a short refresher training session every two years. The cost of the refresher training is included in the annual licence fee.  Licensed trainers are required to keep a record of people trained for ongoing evaluation purposes.

 

Top-Up Train-the-Trainer Programme (1/2 day)

This programme is designed to prepare staff members to train colleagues in one additional Connecting with People Module. 

It is suitable for Connecting with People Licensed Trainers who have successfully completed the Connecting with People 2 day Core Train the Trainer programme.

At the end of the 1/2 day top-up programme, participants will be able to deliver one additional Connecting with People Module in-house.  

The licence to deliver this module, which allows the Licensed Trainer to offer the training on an unlimited basis is subject to our simple quality standards.  We reserve the right to revoke the licence if our quality standards are not being maintained.  Records of those trained must be kept by trainers for ongoing evaluation purposes.

 

Top-Up Train the Trainer Programme (1 day)

This programme is designed to prepare staff members to train colleagues in two additional Connecting with People Modules. 

It is suitable for Connecting with People Licensed Trainers who have successfully completed the Connecting with People 2 day Core Train the Trainer programme.

At the end of the 1 day top-up programme, participants will be able to deliver two additional Connecting with People Modules in-house.

Suicide Response Programmes - Additional Information

Attendees to our Suicide Response modules will be introduced to CwP’s suite of evidence-based, peer-reviewed clinical tools, designed to enhance clinical practice. CwP tools have been developed in collaboration with leading practitioners and academics in the UK and provides a robust framework to facilitate in identifying and responding to suicide risk. They have been designed to to enhance the quality, consistency and documentation of mental state examinations and can be used alongside existing risk management tools.

CwP’s highly-rated Suicide Assessment E-tool App, is a user-friendly, web-based app that can be fully integrated within existing healthcare IT systems or used as a standalone tool on smart phones, tablets laptops and PC’s. The E-tool, developed in collaboration with leading practitioners and academics in the UK and thoroughly peer-reviewed, guides staff members through the process of identifying, capturing and evaluating suicidal thoughts. When used as part of a mental state assessment, the E-tool provides documentary evidence of the assessment and safety plan that underpin risk assessments. To maintain technical integrity, the CwP E-tool is only available to delegates attending CwP training modules.
